went out to town with family
while we were on the way to the car, we saw this small boy playing drums.
fascinating! his control of the kick bass was damn good man.
coordination also damn good. so damn jealous. haha. y cant i be as talented?

been off 'trying' to study. :P
life's been quite a bore since pre u sem.
heh. all ive had to do was to study.
gone to sch. somedays productive.
mostdays unproductive.
ive been slacking too much this year i guess.
must be more consistent.
i realised that the amt to study for the jc midyears
is like double of a sec sch's midyears.
im sick. fever-ish.

hmm. started out with a sore throat.
been eating/drinking too much sweet stuffz.

monday
woke up late, ard 10++. dilly-dallied took my time.
didnt start packing yet. watched tv, surfed internet.blabla
only started packing at 12.30 pm. was sposed to be in sch by 150. :P
so stuffed everyth in. but then took out some things cuz i thot itd be too much to bring for a 5 day camp. haha boy was i wrong.i only brought a duffle bag and a shoe bag. upon reaching sch, saw many others using luggage bags(those wheeled types). and there were some who brought duffle bags along with shoe bags and haversacks and many other bags. madness. but the winner was khai- he only brought a small duffle bag and a hanger with his blazer and uniform. haha. champion.
so reached NTU at ard 3.10pm got into the room and found out my roommate was Sutrisno, a dude from pjc. heh. off to a great start- great roommate. quiet at first.
not the same in the end. changed to PE attire and sat with the group. ate mee siam as tea break. got to noe many others. after eating, sat down at the function hall to get to noe the rest. so there we got to know each other, members of group 16-
the guys: me, sutrisno, jonathan, amrit, arthur, lester, chongming, thomas, norman and joel.
the gurls: naz, stephanie, fiona, kat, yi xian, gong yue, yasmeen, gail, huiqing and lemo.
haha had quite a hard time remembering all their names but got them by the end of the next day. at night we went to the MPH (multi purpose hall) at NIE for icebreakers and the mass dance. it was okayy i guess and then after that went back to the halls.
played cards until abt 1 am and then went to sleep. quite fun but not just yet.
tuesday
woke up at 550. got into my blazer and tie. looked ultra-smart. breakfast.
went to the MLT( mainlecturetheatre) of NIE for the opening ceremony.the keynote address i think. Minister Raymond Lim was gg to address us. haha most of my grp mates- jonathan, sutrisno and amrit fell asleep. so did i for a while. had a QnA session. many students went up to ask certain questions. some out of the need for attention, and others out of real curiosity. which ones are which only they themselves noe. ahaha. then moved to the reception. that was da bomb! ate 4 rounds (small plates btw) its like hotel food. mmmm. the drumsticks. the sushi. the round pizza bread. the siew mai. the everything! hahaha. so niceeee.
after that went for the presentations(wat preUsem is revolved ard) 1st up were CJC MJC and HCI. in between there was teabreak. and then 2nd were ACJC, NYJC and SRJC. memorable ones were CJC's MJC's ACJC's and SRJC's. cuz they were in the form of skits. heh. AC's mimic of the Kumars at no.42 was funny. but it lacked info i guess. but nevertheless. the funniest. haha.
went for dinner. then off to MPH again. had our telematch games. haha we won everygame lar but its a wonder we didnt win best group. heh. luck. personal favourite was the foosball game. i scored one! and ran around the area as if it was world cup. heh. learnt a new mass dance. haha cant dance for nuts. sry naz! if i stepped on ur toes or sumth. i think i did. haha. thenthenthen went back to the halls. started on building a kite following a design that gongyue brought to the camp. ahah differentiates the HCI pple from us tpjcians.slackers we are.haha. the fun part begins. we were started playing cards at the glass house ( a lounge of sum sort) played bluff/taitee. and the losers had to drink one bottle of 250ml mineral water. hhahaha. that was fun mann. haha drank about 8 bottles that night.
memorable events- drinking water, eating wafer rolls, DECOY! haha. no need to understand.
slept at ard 3 am.
wednesday
woke up 6.10 am. went off to the MLT again, for panel discussions. haha me sutrisno, jonathan, naz, amrit and lester were headbanging all the way. haha by headbanging i mean falling asleep.but douglas foo was entertaining. i love talks by entrepreneurs. very inspiring. and then,
had reception again! wOOOHOO! hahaha great food once more. love it when theres impt pple. the food are great.2nd panel discussions. sleeping session again. haha. had lunch. this was a good lunch. haha had it at the MLT. all food at MLT were great! then time came for tpjc's presentation.haha it was errr quite lame..haha and tpjc became the target of many harsh questions.haha but siva handled it well. then YJC's and VJC's presentation. YJC had a memorable collage presentation in the end. and VJC were super lame.hahaha.
then we chaired the group discussions. me being the grp leader. didnt haf to do anything.HAHA.
juz had to talk to the groups and order them along. ;P hahaha. bluearhh. the downside was i had to type an 800 word report by the next morn. then went back to the halls. had dinner. had kite making. we stayed up until like 3am to do our kites. to our disappointment the next day. :(
me thomas and amrit were furiously working hard to get the kite to be able to fly theoretically.
haha. our grp bonded there and then. kite making was great. everyone chipped in. fiona and chong ming and lester with their tying of knots. kat with her taping of joints. lemo gongyue huiqing and steph with the decoration. arthur and joel and lester with designs, naz and chongming and sutrisno and jonathan with the 2nd kite. oh and kat saved my life by typing the report out for me. THANK YOU! hahaha.
Thursday
the most hectic day. woke up early. off to Thao Guang or sumth. pottery. thot id be having the worst time. but it was the best. enlightening experience. Iskandar Jalil knew wat he was doing and wat he was talking about man. skilled. made me think of wat I REALLY wanted to do. apart from sch. then looked at the firing chambers. then went to try out sum pottery of our own. i successfully molded a bowl of sum sort. yeaH! not bad for a beginner.then went to paint a piece of ceramic. there were letters from A-Z to choose from. instead of choosing A for Ariff. i chose a U cuz i liked the unicorn. haha. painted the unicorn sumwat dully. to make it look like a dark unicorn. haha. well. then. went back to halls. lunch. then went to a field outside of innova to fly our kites. was disappointed and frustrated that our best kite wasnt there. got pissed off. made others pissed off. haha. our 2nd kite didnt fly, to no surprise. haha. yeah. it was a pretty rushed job. it was gd enuff it tried to take off. then flew personal kites. yardeyardeyar. long day. went to see jonathan and friends who flew a longlonglonglong kite. about 4 and a 1/2 rolls of string. heh. skillded. then went back on the bus. on board the bus back to the halls. had an interesting convo with thomas and kat. haha. discrimination at large. me an thomas were discriminating ACJC pple. about how rich they are and all. ahhaa exaggerations took place. Kat just laughed along even tho shes AC. discriminated trackers and soccer players abt how dumb they are.
haha lamee. after dinner went to MPH again. had mass dance. and a kinda party. Seminar nite they called it. it was a farewell. but JJC(the organisers) took things a bit depressingly. its sad yeah i agree. its been fun. were saying gd bye. but i think it wldve been better off if they looked on the positive side. end it on a high note. not a depressing one. let our feelings abt the camp and our groupmates out. i liked the emotional web. and the testimonial writing! nice stuff we wrote. heh.well spent the last nite playing bluff/number games/taitee and drank our bottles of water again. ahaha.
slept at abt 3.30am. woohoo. everyday sleep late.
Friday
woke up 615.breakfast.went to Nanyang Auditorium. WOW. it was great. so comfy. the whole lot of the students were asleep.hahahaha. there were prize presentations. we saw our nicer kite hanging outside the auditorium. disappointed that our group didnt win anything. yeah well.
its just great to have a nice group like group 16. hahaha. then went outside the audi. took tons of pictures. switched blazers. mingled around. made some friends. some took our approach the wrong way. so too bad. then minister Tharman finally came. he went ard the groups. and finally came to ours. i asked the 2nd question out of abt 5 or 6. asking abt the rigidness of the system.
the few days really made me think of wat i wanted to do. whether studying was worth it. heh. i dno. who noes. we dont dare to venture out of the given rigid lines of the education system.
then rushed many pics. rushed goodbyes. me khai ahmad and sutrisno went off to catch prayers. delays here and there were cause for us missing it. it saddens me that out of like abt 15-25( i think??) malay guys there. only like less than 10 tried to go prayers. even the pakcik busdriver didnt go. no wonder the JJC organisers didnt take the friday prayers into account. its our own fault. haiz. wats happend? i dno. reached home at abt 4. slept during the hourlong MRT ride. heh. sooo tired larh..
Summary
im reallyreally thankful for the opportunity. that was the best camp ever!
saluteS to JJC who did a hell of a job organising this camp! LOVE my groupmates.
LOVE all the enthu pple with their great attitutes and intelligence and gracing this event!

Jon -MI- the big brudda joker and laid back slacker. Amrit -YJ- the more serious big brudda who would still play with us and the best sleeper ever.
Lester -IJ- haha the target of nipple pinching and the balance of work and play.
Sutrisno -PJ- the devil in disguise. blardy innocent face hiding the real crazy sutrisno.
chongming -SA- the face everyone thot they recognized and the nice guy of the grp.

Naz -SR- the squeaky one who mixed with us guys alot.( shes excluded from the nipple pinching of course! :P hahaha)

Thomas -NJ- forever exaggerating abt how trackers are stupid and how AC pple are rich pple.
cracking jokes abt everyth. laid back but still studious. hope ur SATS are okay!
Kat-AC- heh the quiet one. shys away from us to mix with her AC peeps but opened up the last few days. hehe. spunky and fun.not forgetting she typed the report! ahhaa :)
